The Meudon Observatory can be easily reached by Public Transportation.
1) TrainAt Paris-Montparnasse station (SNCF : French railways), take the trains going to Sèvres Rive Gauche (every 15 min.) or (rarely) to Versailles-Chantiers, Rambouillet, Chartes, etc... Make sure the train stops at the Meudon or Bellevue stations (see below).
2) RER CThe RER ligne C (suburban train system): Take the train going in the direction of Versailles Rive Gauche and get out at the Meudon-Val Fleury station. Follow the direction of Meudon not Clamart (you'll be better ask your way...) You can also use the online public transport journey planner. Once arrived at place Jules Janssen, 92190 Meudon, enter the public park gates and turn right. Then, there is a small gate, just pass the green guard-post on your left (if they stop you, just say that you are a participant of the CIAS workshop 'Energy Cascade and Dissipation in Astrophysical Turbulent Plasmas’, normally they have a list of participants). Then you should go to the left toward the small "forest", follow the path and you arrive to green metallic stairs, go up, then you are on the level of the principal buildings of the Observatory. Just upstairs, turn left, and you arrive at the "castel", the place of our workshop. On the map of the Meudon Observatory, it is Bat. 9 (Chateau/Grande Coupole)
